Well, MrBeast says that even if he got a "billion views" that wouldn't cover a fraction of his costs. We ask creator economy expert Jim Louderback how content creators, which these social media platforms like X, YouTube, Intsagram and TikTok rely on, get paid. And how X could iron out its monetization strategy.

I left Twitter just before the name change. It was feeling toxic and I wasn’t seeing the content i used. I am hopeful it can return to whst it was once.

None of the major platforms are good for long term monetization. Unlike a law, they can change their policy over night and you can be out of a “job”, especially if you say the wrong thing.
