ASUS TUF Gaming & Gigabyte Gaming OC RTX 4070 SUPER Review [Benchmarks | Power | Thermals]

Yesterday saw the launch of the RTX 4070 SUPER from NVIDIA, where we took a look at four different cards, that all hit the MSRP of $599 USD whereas today we can show the more higher-end non MSRP pre-overclocked cards from ASUS and Gigabyte, but is the extra cost worth it for what you get?

I got the GIGA-BYTE and am very happy. When installing, make sure you seat the adapter all the way into the card. I had issues with no display and this was the fix. The adapter going into the card does not click. Make sure it is aligned and pushed in far enough.

These are the 2 cards I was choosing between. It's actually really surprising to see that the Gigabyte card is performing (marginally) better than the ASUS TUF card, given that as of right now, the ASUS card is about $30 more expensive than the Gigabyte one. But this is good news to me, because I have a case which houses the GPU vertically, and the fans towards the side panel, meaning the rgb circles around the fans on the Gigabyte card will provide some nice colored lighting where my old TUF 3070 only had a small sliver at the top.

Why the PNY xlr8 rtx 4070 super's GPU on Amazon clock speed is 1980 MHz and it says overclocked? isnt it that low? and the gigabyte 4070 super OC was 2565 MHz, which one is good?

The Gigybyte version is only $50 extra. The Asus is like $90 more, the Asus price is just too high.
