Remind me again, what was that "twitter" thing? I guess the kids will find some other toys to play with. Personally I think the likes of twitter, Facebook, etc are the antithesis of what the spirit of the internet was supposed to provide us. Rather than a global peer to peer, human to human, communication system we have centralised systems owned by huge corporations mostly controlled by the avarice of advertising.

Facebook could add Twitter interfaces and app for one to replace them, they have the same membership but different interfaces. Software is not cars and rockets and the top software engineers at Twitter, Facebook, Google, etc have 5 offers waiting for them if they bother to look. Many are in it for the stock and they see an owner trashing their stock they will sell and move on if asked.
