Even as a person who hasn't seen enough bendy games, I think this is definitely something the fandom would love. Putting Boris as the player character is genius. Also, having an undefeatable enemy that you constantly have to watch for (in this case, the ink demon) is a really cool feature in games. Especially for alien isolation, it adds a layer of fear that you can't ignore and is always present, waiting to strike. I can tell this is going to be a great game
