The technical level of all teams has not been at the same level for 4 years!
It is very natural for there to be a team at a high level this season and at a low level in another season, as the number is not fixed for many technical and economic reasons that cannot be enumerated.
Meaning that it is very possible for there to be a team that wins first or second place in the local league championship and also wins in a continental championship in the same season, and after two or three seasons you will find it in fifth or seventh place in the local league standings. It is unfair and wrong to include it and participate in a global championship of the same kind. A high level, but he is currently at his lowest level because he only won a continental championship 4 or 3 years ago!
In addition, the duration of the tournament is approximately 30 days and will be held during the summer period (between June 6 and July 7), that is, after the end of a long local and continental season that is stressful for the players, which negatively affects the technical and physical level!
Also, many players and stars will be deprived of the opportunity to be in the tournament more than once or twice due to age or injury before the tournament, because the period between each tournament and another is 4 years, which is very long, and therefore we will lose a proportion of the player’s performance in continental matches and tournaments because he knows It is very likely that he will not participate in the World Championship that will be held in 4 or 3 years due to his age, even though he is still thirty-two or thirty-four years old!! We have made him lose hope in the possibility of him participating in the next tournament while he is still at the peak of his giving and experience!!
All of these things will lead to the loss of fair competition between teams, the feeling of injustice and unfairness on the part of the fans of those teams, and the loss of competitive fun in the game of club football!
In my opinion, the ideal system for the Club World Cup that can be implemented in a way that is realistic, logical, and fair competitive between teams is:
1- The number of teams participating in the tournament will be only 16 teams, including the host country’s team, divided into 4 groups and on 4 stadiums. The duration of the tournament will be between two or 3 weeks only at the latest, and it will be held in the middle of the clubs’ football season (between the months of December 12 and January 1).
2- The tournament should be annual (every year in a row) so that it coincides and is in line with the seasonal club tournament seasons (local and continental).
3- How to qualify for the tournament is to divide the world into 4 continents instead of 6 continents because it is the World Championship for clubs and not for national teams. Therefore, the Australian continental club championship will be canceled and merged into the Asian continental club championship, as well as the North American club championship and merged into the South American continental club championship due to the small number of countries. (The small number of teams) in these two continents compared to the other four major continents, so that the following qualify:
- The European continent has 5 teams: the champion of the league, the runner-up, the second-place finisher, and the third-place finisher (creating a third place in the continental championship to increase competition in the tournament) + the European League champion + the European Conference League champion
- The American continent (North and South) 4 teams: champion Libertados, runner-up, second place, and third place + black American champion
- The continent of Africa has 3 teams: the CAF Champions League champion, the runner-up, the second-place finisher, and the third-place finisher.
- Asia continent (Asia and Australia): 3 teams: the AFC Champions League champion, the runner-up, the second-place finisher, and the third-place finisher.
- One team from the host country (provided that it is the league champion in that country, and if it qualifies, then second place in the league, and if it qualifies, then third place in the league, and if it qualifies, then the cup champion)
