Taking my LSAT soon, and wanted to see some actual school material so I can get a glimpse of what’s in store. Would’ve appreciated the PowerPoint but nonetheless, I’m glad this was published for us to watch

Serendipity.Excellent explanation of Life Cycle of A Case in The American Legal System. Short and in sharp focus, Dispute Resolution Under Law. Plaintiff Vs. Defendant. "All Litigants Are Created Equal Under The Laws", of A given State. I am a Common Law jurisdiction Attorney and had a Worm View of Litigant's Rights. Thanks, professor Toby Heytens for sharing Bird's eye view of a client's case from inception to Disposition. Why Go to Trial, Sue and then settle at the Court Steps.

I have been practising law for more than 10 years in my home country and watched this presentation due to curiosity. Court system in the USA makes no sense whatsoever...

You explained Claim preclusion and Issue preclusion in a way I can really remember. I see the Courts need all of the facts and law in both the Civil Complaint and in Criminal Indictments. Makes sense; "why didn't I hear about this before" and "I've already decided it."

Wouldn't it be nice if the courts spoke in this simple common language?

It would have been better if the camera would focus on the slides than on him, even though he was an important speaker. Thanks for the lecture.
