Edinburgh Holyrood Abbey

Holyrood Abbey is a ruined abbey in Edinburgh Scotland. The abbey was founded in 1128 by king David_1. During the 15th century, the abbey guesthouse was developed into a royal residence, The abbey church was used as a parish church until the 17th century, and has been ruined since the 18th century. The remaining walls of the abbey lie adjacent to the palace, at the eastern end of Edinburgh's royal mile. The site of the abbey is protected as a monument. It is amaszeing what is left of it. What a shame to let it come to it's present state. The time, luv & skill that went into building it.
I guess those were where folks were buried? Where the slabs were. It made me think of the West Minster Abby that's used today for all kings, Queens goings on. I was thinking what if we could see into the future a few hundred years and would it look like this if it's still there at all.
Think of the beautiful stain glass windows that were once there. It is still magnificent today, still proudly and definitely hanging on in a race we know the building will one day loose. But even so, the building won't go quietly into the night without a fight.
