Never heard the azimuth would be reported east/west of north. I’ve always heard it East/west of south like the chart suggests. However I was told measuring from north was always a possibility but rather uncommon

I agree on the poor chart. Why anyone would reference south by mirroring the numbers, but in opposite directions, is beyond me. These must be the same people who number the sections in baseball stadiums & basketball arenas; and no wonder I need the usher to help me find my seat!

Then how can we find altitude and azimuth for after 6pm like 8pm

Both Sun, Wind, and Light & Ballast say that Azimuth is read from South, So isn't it 60°?
