Queensrÿche’s Silent Lucidity on Classical Guitar | Arpeggio

Music has a way to instantly transport you like a time machine. A song can be like a trigger word used in hypnosis.

I was watching the final season of @cobrakaiseries. I don’t typically watch a lot of series, but this series is killer, very well done! I grew up with Karate Kid, and they’ve done a phenomenal job continuing the storyline.

Anyway, they have a great way of using staple nostalgic songs from my teenage years in the soundtrack. They used this song at a perfect moment in the storyline and it instantly threw me back to some old memories.

If you know me, you know I appreciate the beauty of a simple melody that emotionally speaks volumes. ❤️‍🔥

I saw them play this live from the fifth row last summer… so tricky to get that swing

Some players may find it easier to play the Esus2 as a barre chord from the root note starting from the 7th fret on the 5th (A) string, with the suspended 2 note plucked on the 5th fret of the 2nd (B) string; this also gives you a better position for going back to the “B” note (7th fret, 1st string) when shifting back to the GmajSus2.

It works better that way for me, at least; my own nylon string guitar has no dot markers and even after 35 years or so playing it I still lack the ability to instinctively “find” my position on the fingerboard when I play it.
