However, "Dark Mode" takes a drastically different approach when adjusting the tones. In this video, Pye walks through this unconventional style of editing and how it can be used to achieve unique looks for your portraits.

I hunted Pye down to find his other channels and immediately subscribed. He's quickly becoming one of my favorite photogs.

Thank you! I use this and find it improves skin a lot. Wrinkles disappear with no other intervention

That's so crazy how the image's colors behave so differently depending on what you first do with the exposure. Lots of possibilities with this!

Thank you Pye! Love your teachings always! I am not entirely sure I understand the advantage of dark mode and why/when I would use it. Thanks :)

Interesting approach, very helpful. I'm so bad at using Tone Curve, need to put time in with that one. Thanks!

Thanks Pye. Interesting approach. Im considering purchasing your master course on SLR lounge. Is the content updated with newer techniques such as this?

GREAT material here Pye! Thanks a ton for sharing. Sometimes it's hard to find rare good content that teaches you something different.

Interesting method to say the least, however I find it is a lot of steps just for 1 single image and just to make it look NOT better but just difference where it's more of a preference whether you like it more or not. I like it's alternative look but still prefer the original.

Looks like standard editing. Never knew it was called dark mode, but I edit some this way, others I guess light mode editing.

Nothing new nor spectacular. Adding a few layers in PS is a far better solution.
