Hello Mr. Elrod! As an AP World History, I would like to ask you: could you elaborate on why Africa is so poor? Sure, imperialism may have stolen wealth from Africa, and yet today in the 21st-century, Africa is still rich in natural resources. So what reasons explain why Africa is poor?

Also, most critics of globalization claim that it promotes environmental degradation and human rights violations. What's the reasoning and logic behind these claims though? It would help me a lot if you could explain. Thank you!

I think you may have been confused with the modernization theory... Rostow's model was correlated with the modernization theory not the dependency theory....

I beg to differ, Cambodia still is in a traditional society, there is practically no infrastructe, education is nearly non-existant and people live extremely undeveloped. opinion?
