I'm trying to use it on my Z6 but it stays off even when i chose to use it i don't understand why since it works fine when shooting photos...

EDIT : well... it seems it doesn't like it when you allows your camera to go as high as it wants in auto ISO, so it works now ^^

Nice! What level of D-Lighting did you use? How much noise is noticeable? Because I don’t see any in this shot.

Active D Lighting is the reason why I want to buy a Nikon camera. It reminds me of Google's HDR+ tone mapping. With a Canon camera you can't achieve such a high dynamic range (I tested it in a store). Canon's Highlight Tone Priority (better than Canon's Lighting Optimizer) + lowest contrast setting is not sufficient.

Is it possible to shot 4K movies with active d lighting turned on?

Well I'll be a monkey's uncle. I never knew the Z6 could use active d-lighting for video 😮 I also don't shoot much video 😅

I saw that it's also on the Nikon D500 for its movie mode. I wonder when Nikon began allowing the cameras to do that. I don't think its on the 3K, 5K, or 7K series cameras. But if it's on the D500, it's probably on all the bodies after that in the pro series, and I'm assuming its on all the Z bodies.
