I'm buying one thanks to your video. I've researched them as well, they are a young engineering-led company. And that in itself is a huge plus in their favour. By the way, they do write in their user manual not to walk away, to stick around... I think you found out one of the many reasons why that can be.

Thanks for the review! As a newbie, I have no idea what slicing is yet, the differences between a lot of the types of filament, or how to make any of this go, but I look forward to learning. Just got this for $100 from a local auction house, brand new. As there is some engraving I want to do on acrylic, I wish there were pics of those pieces, but your overall positive impression is heartening that I probably didn't choose badly. Thanks!

I just scored this for $490 off Craigslist. Just needed a new cooler fan and glass plate.

It's my forst experiance with 3D printing and with the price point on such an old machine I was worried. Overall, super pleased with what i have printed so far. Hearing you say good things about it being WAY more experienced makes me feel really good about purchasing it!

The plastic thingy on top of this printer reminds me of another printer but I can't remember the name. It still looks like a nice machine.

This machine is pretty old school. This is built from the FlashForge Creator II and MakerBot Replicator II design. They are pretty bullet proof machines and have been for many years. This was actually my first type printer about 5 years ago (FlashForge Machine - Over 7, 000 working hours on both of mine before I retired them). That they still charge $800 for the machine, same as they did 5 years ago, is way outdated.

I have this Machine as well and it works like a charm. but one thing i need to learn and was wondering from 3D Printer to another, can you please tell me on how to print with the second extruder (E2 nozzle)? I tried everything and i cant figure out how to get my 3D files to be printed with the E2 Nozzle, and i really don't want to remove the filaments just to print with a different color of Filament.

Great video! A question: What software are you using to make the .gcode files for the laser engraving?
