Hi, this tutorial is very good and detailed, the best that you can find on here! i followed it all but im having an issue that are hours im trying to fix, basically when im in the viewport i can see the base water material how it should be but when i press play the plane turns pitch black, i tryed re-checking the function "prepare base water" but it's the same as yours.

Thank you for this tutorial! The effect works on both my third person character and objects that have the component. But I have made a mistake somewhere because the ripple/wave effect doesnt come from the middle/center of my character or other objects. The effect seems to be coming from in front of and to the right of my character and objects. With this description would you have any idea which parameters I should adjust to get a proper centered effect?
EDIT: the center of the ripple/wave effect is not to the front and to the Right of my character but is in a fixed spot in front of the character, If I turn in place the wave effect stays always off center to my character. For example: If I face forward, the ripple effect will be off to my right if I turn to face the camera the effect will be behind me and to the right and so on. I would greatly appreciate your help!

It didn't work, only post process worked, I'm using Unreal Engine 4.27

its a good tutorial, but i really do absolutely hate it when theres 1 hour 25 of blueprints and 10 seconds actually showing the produced results. Whats the hurry to finish up ?
