Santarem - a place to visit before you die

Man, Santarem is close to Lisbon and located almost exactly in the middle of Portugal. So if you live there, all of Portugal is close at hand. The real estate prices are very cheap for now, and it has a semi-abandoned historical centre perfect for artists of all kinds to come and make the town florish.
