This song came out just a few days after my father passed away. I could not stop listening to it.

1) This is a rare composition, where the interludes are as memorable as the chorus

2) Arijit does well in conveying the spirit and angst in the song, but the person who has excelled and surpassed Arijit is Jonita Gandhi. Her voice, tenor, inunciation, harmony and counter-melody playback is astounding and very well done

3) While AR Rahman gives a forgettable soundtrack for this album, this song redeems him and once again shows what he's capable of and the genius that he is. Dr Irshad Kamil's words are just perfectly set for a sombre and heart-touching melody

Finally, the true diamonds of this song are Jonita and ARR. Take a bow!
