There is a even more heart filled ending, where he passes on of old age peacefully. But that requires you to have the game open a full 24 hours. That’s the true ending of the game, since hours are like years for him.

This is a genuinely spooky concept. A "living being" whose fate is in your hands. This kinda stuff Is what jumpscares can't do.

So there are a few different “endings”, but they all pretty much result in death
-if you quit at any time he’ll die
-if you keep spamming feed the game will crash and he will die
-if you quit during the holiday he’ll be dead on the boat

Now, more interestingly, if you wait
a few hours he starts to change color and says “oh hey the holiday code will reset after 24 hours we can have the holiday again”, and as 24 hours passes he realizes it’s not resetting, but it was nice to have the hope. After a full WEEK of leaving the game open, he will progressively change color until he’s white and old (with a few bits of dialogue) until he gives you a monologue about sensing the end approaching, but how it’s somehow calming seeing it approach and knowing when it’s coming over sudden and spontaneously dying.
With his last breath he says he never forgot about and always cherished the holiday before going still. And it’s only as he draws his final breath that the holiday code finally resets

Exactly. Jaber and the others are depressed. They don't have motivation nor energy to interact with life, but they don't want to die. But they also don't mind dieing when they feel that you don't want anything having to do with them. you quitting, is giving up on them, which results to suicide cause they have no reason to keep living. They had you, until you left them.

This developer has piqued my interest. I'm literally gonna check out everything he makes from here on out. Inscryption has had me hooked the last couple months and I would really love if you would go back and finish the game. Its fine if you leave it as a one off but I think the games it deserving of a lot more

After seeing the most fine game that Ryan could ever make for BitBuddy, well not after quitting the game really there was no way to revive Bitbuddy or something like that, still you've experienced a lot and it turned out splendid

The way your bitbuddy talks to you, and how morbid it is seeing it turned into a skeleton after you quit the game. It's nightmare-fuel. Like, I've watched videos about murders and creepy things for the past hours and this game alone has managed to make me more disturbed than all of those combined

commenting for the third time that ryan needs to play "enter the backrooms" which is a backrooms indie game i found on steam a while back and its very lore accurate with like 20+ levels to explore (they are randomly generated) but the dev is in highschool and he definitely needs the support, considering the game is only $5

I ugly cried to this game. Havent had a proper cry in years even though I felt the need, but this game made me cry like a baby.

His expressions, his hopelessness, his insecurity about whether you are having fun or if you're bored. The last part in particular made me break. I just wanted to scream through the screen that I was having fun and I enjoyed spending time with him.

this is genuinely such an unnerving experience watching the bitbuddy desperately try to emtertain ryan

overtime if you leave the game running the buddy will slowly turn white and after a week of leaving the game open the buddy will die of old age, a youtuber set his clock forward and proved it. he also has a different text about his suffering every day

If I ever get bored in the game, I'd hover over quit, wait for my guy to fall asleep, and then quit. Kill him in his sleep. It's less sad that way, he'd be happy and wouldn't know it'd happen
