The D17 series 4. That is the last of the series. Usually don’t see anything in the tool box of tractors when sold. Nice. We had some old horse stuff like that too.

Like that Allis D 17! We had one in a gas growing up! Use to green chop alfalfa with it for the cows! Always liked New Holland equipment! We had a baker, take, haybine, manure spreader, 2 row corn silage chopper! Dad starter modernizing use in the late 60’s after we got rid of the cows and went to beef! Starter us with a 4020 John Deere we kept our Massey Ferguson super 65’s and the Allis! Also a John Deere planter! We stopped him at hay equipment us kids felt the New Holland was easier to maintain than the John Deere equipment! Less dollars as well! When I started in produce I stuck with the older internationals and Massey Ferguson’s! Okay enough of the family history lol!great video! One more thing that Farmall Super A with cultivators are damn good tractors especially for produce! That 986 will go for $ 8000.00

I would say the 986 will go for about 4500 but look for the D17D to surprise you despite the fact that it's the older snap coupler . They turn out the power in spades but if you don't let it cool down before shut down you'll have head gasket problems. But I would say that it could break through the $3000 barrier

Now that's just funny. You mention WT Farm Girl & her baler & guess who posted a new video when you said that. Looks like she's still fixing it, too. Lolololol! Really like that D17. Still has the belt pulley on it. Those were getting to be unfashionable when those tractors came out.

Man you need that rollover plow, that would be nice of course you’d probably need the 986 to pull it. Super A with cultivators would be nice too, wow, and the 986!

Alot of nice equipment at that auction, i seen 11 things i would like to have. Most auctions around me in Michigan have junk/yard ornaments

check the serial number on the D 17, should be 75001 + to be a IV. It should have the hydrulic pump where the belt pully is.

Superior was in Spfld OH. Oliver bought em. D17 diesels have the same engine as a D19 but no turbo.

I like the d17 diesel. There aren't many of them compared to the gas burners. It should go for 4000. Wtfarm girl has a 565 baler. It is much newer than the 311. Both are good balers (until they stop tying)

The D17 I’d pretty descent. Main thing to look out for us if there are any gear issues as they can cost $1k/gear just for the part. I know the d15s had issues w 3rd if people ground the gears.
