5.30.20 Homily Seventh Saturday of Easter
Gospel JN 21:20-25
Peter turned and saw the disciple following whom Jesus loved,
the one who had also reclined upon his chest during the supper
and had said, “Master, who is the one who will betray you?”
When Peter saw him, he said to Jesus, “Lord, what about him?”
Jesus said to him, “What if I want him to remain until I come?
What concern is it of yours?
You follow me.”
So the word spread among the brothers that that disciple would not die.
But Jesus had not told him that he would not die,
just “What if I want him to remain until I come?
What concern is it of yours?”
It is this disciple who testifies to these things
and has written them, and we know that his testimony is true.
There are also many other things that Jesus did,
but if these were to be described individually,
I do not think the whole world would contain the books
that would be written.

My Catechism teaches that Divine Tradition has been committed to writing. It then further lists saintly writers that make up the deposit of Divine Tradition like Augustine and Jerome. When reading the writings from Augustine and Jerome etc. how do I know if what I’m reading is in or out of the deposit of Sacred Divine Tradition?

I admire this guy and I have respect his kindness and humbleness and God Bless him regardless of our differences in beliefs I truelly feel this guy is a God Fearing and Loving Human Being and deserve much love and respect indeed...

Now here's the thing that it seems all Catholics don't mention is when they talk about Tradition and yes there's traditions in the bible that the "Early Christian" church practice which are not "Catholics" tradition, the Catholics was establish after the early church hence they are not from the traditional original church cause they where not from the early establishment of Christianity...

We do understand the gentleman talking about the Oral Tradition and other things I totally understand what he's saying but in all Honesty Catholics don't even Practice the actual Traditions of early Christianity and non of the protestant either but, the reason why we believe in Sola Scriptura is because the Bible Teaches us the traditions that we should uphold and it's from Ministry, Missionary Works, Pastors, ect ect ect.... It's our instructions to do the good works by faith to reach others that are lost that needs uplifting and save souls to Christ, God's Gifts that each and every one of us are should be using to evangelize to do God's work and everything we need for education and understand more on God and our purpose In life is all written in scriptures that's where we go and do our part to bring hope to those who are lost, if you want to know what kind of traditions of Christianity it's all in the Bible and Catholic tradition has no biblical practice whatsoever at all Bible speaks clearly to me on how to practice devotion and worship God, teaches me that Faith in Jesus alone I receive by Grace is the only way through salvation and not with work but by Faith we can produce good works to be a blessing to others as God is to us... that's what Sola Scriptura Means to me and I will never be convinced by Catholics to truelly be the true church cause I go by scriptures and I rather be in a church where the scripture is more centered for our knowledge and wisdom in Understanding God's words and use those principles to produce good works by Faith and Biblically to be blessed and be a blessing to others...

God Bless to all the Denominational and non denominational brothers and Sisters from Christ as we all have our differences we should all love one another as God Loves us... 🙏✝️🙏

*Too bad. Bible says you are wrong. Bible only accept traditions of Jesus and Apostles. 2 THes **2:15**. Apart from that are m m unbiblical traditions of men which Bible rejects, Mat 15, 23; like those of Pharisees or R Church.*

*Acceptable Traditions:*
*Bible does talk about Spoken Word and Written Word. 2 Thes **2:15**. Written Word came from Spoken Word of Apostles and Jesus. That's the traditions of jesus and APostles we hold fast to. 2 Thes **2:15*

*Unacceptable Traditions:*
*But .... Bible rejects m m unbiblical traditions of men, Mat 15, 23; such as those of Pharisees and R Church. These are traditions apart from those of Jesus and Apostles.*

*95% of R Church doctrines totally did not come from tradition of Jesus or Apostles or even Scriptures. So why would R Catholics claim its acceptable?*
