It is true that western media mostly portrays India as poor and filled with slums. But, you too are an aspect of western media, and you are open to seeing, understanding and accepting the true India. I thank you both for this. I am an Indian born man of 73 years who had immigrated to Canada many decades ago but have now been back in India for 20 years. If slums are to be shown, then they should be shown for every country in the world. For example, Vancouver Eastside and Chinatown, and East Hastings Street in particular. Also, let us not forget the deprived peoples of the slums and ghettos in American cities. It is people like you in the west who provide hope that the "west" does not completely disintegrate in future and does not continuously support the spread of misinformation. Stay blessed.

I live in Lucknow (capital of Uttar Pradesh, a northern state in India). It's a saying here that if you pass by a road 6 months later you may not be able to recognise the routes. This is because they are making new flyovers, roads, by-pass and new buildings like malls and stadiums so fast.

it's amazing to think that..
India was the richest country in the world till mid 18th century(it holded around 24% of the world's gdp) and from 22nd(it will happen before that) it will again gain its position at the top and will never lose again.

so it's only 300 years in the history of thousands of years where India lost its position.. obviously we felt this time duration is huge because we're living in this time.

imagine the history after some thousands of years.. it's like little setback and we will come back stronger.
