Remembering Guy Lafleur: A Tribute to a Habs Legend | 2 Years On

Two years have passed since the hockey world mourned the loss of a true legend, Guy Lafleur. For many of us, Lafleur wasn't just a player, he was an icon, a hero who graced the ice with unparalleled skill and grace.

In this video, I take a moment to reflect on what Guy Lafleur meant to me and to countless other Montreal Canadiens fans who grew up idolizing him. From childhood to adulthood, Lafleur's influence transcended generations, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of those lucky enough to witness his brilliance on the ice.

Join me as we pay homage to the one and only Guy Lafleur, a true Habs legend who will forever hold a special place in our hearts. 🏒🔵⚪🔴

Thank you coach, you brought me to tears this morning while I watched this tribute to Guy--He was only a year older tthan me and I followed his career from the start. We all loved the rocket and Jean Beliveau but Guy was my age and played a game that we all loved. I knew I would never be as good a player as Guy so I played the game through him and with him. Thank you Guy for the Memories, and thank-you coach for the tribute to him.

RIP Guy, my dad always told me he was his favorite player and praised his play on the ice. Hockey lost a Legend, but will always be remembered

I remember about 12 years ago at a trade convention in T.O. at the metro trade convention, head down walking along an empty aisle I looked up and there standing beside me was Guy Lafleur, big smile, big hello, Lafleur was representing a beverage company there. I stood with him and talked for about 5 minutes, , he was so down to earth so, common, he didn’t command the majesty of Jean Beliveau, but more like a regular guy. I shook his hand and departed thinking first what a great hockey player he was and what an amazingly nice person he was.

ive always wondered where he got his nickname le demon blond .was that from qc and the remparts ?
i never heard that nickname until recently .

best quote ?
“The off-season? They have to get some better players . The way I look at it right now, there’s no first line, second line, third line. I think they have four fourth lines.”

he will be missed .

Nice. Even as a Bruins fan we know who this guy is.
Don't know his number because we can tell who he was on Ice by the way he skated and his hair flowing in the wind!
You can pick him out on ice from a mile away

Hard to forget this guy.

Nice tribute.
