I feel really bad that people buy these. it's not even that cheap....you can easily buy a better used camera that takes better video than thing for the same price.

The camcorder looks like you're in 2006 😂😂

At 6:59 the focus is screaming on the 5R 🤣🤣, but even out of focus it still better than the 8k Cam 🤣

Gotta love how smooth that 6k30 is over the 8k15, I can REALLY tell the difference.

Well done on the comparison which hammers home a good point. Hopefully, this will reach some of those that would otherwise consider buying this over a second hand Sony, Canon, Lumix etc. I mean for 100$/£ more you could get your hands on a BMCC 2.5K with RAW Video and 12 stops of DR, Or a GH2 or 3 if you want something ready to go out of the box.

Bought this exact camera early in the year to replace the DSLR i was using for my railfanning, i have it set on the 4K/30FPS setting and while the video quality is good if not better than the last camera it does however mute any audio it picks up regardless if i'm using the internal or external mic, not sure if it's due to the camera being overloaded on the sound it picks up and trying to compensate or if there's some hidden setting i have to find and change.

To be honest I think that camcorder is better for night time ghost busters videos 😂

I got one of these and the quality is better then the review shows.

I'm a newbie so I don't pretend to know what I'm talking about.

But I can say out of the options I had, this was the best cheap choice.

I recorded a red moon on my 8k Samsung phone it was ok but not really good.

I use the 4k Camera on my other Samsung a50 something.
The red moon was yellow...

I want to capture moon and sunsets and the views around where i lived.

Im abit poor and need to start myself a go fund my camera page or something.

I don't think the 8K camera this video is reviewing is really not bad.

I learnt that you can have a 8k but its useless if the light sensors are small.
Some break and some are just cheap and

That is what I was experiencing on Phone cameras.
On the camera light sensors tend to be bigger than on phones.

Old cameras didnt have 8k or megapixel.
Digital camera these days isn't so flat but it brings out the pixel blurring especially in dark light for shooting stars as an example.

Like I said im no expert and really I don't know much about camaras but this 8K one for the price matches the 8k samsung phone camera.

If I had the money I would buy the sony or cannon over £1000 pounds not dollars in my country.

But the 8k cheap £159 on amazon camera I was surprised in the quality.

Every now and then the Chinese do copy a good thing like some Hawaii phones have match samsung in some ways.

This is a not to bad copy product.

As you can tell I wrote this post on my phone where the buttons are to bloodt small.

If you feel like do more testing of low end stuff, I can recommend the Canon Vixia R70 and Sony CX405. These are roughly the last 1080P camcorders these companies made. The interesting thing is that the zoom on these are optical. 32x optical zoom on the Canon (2.8 - 89.6mm, claimed F1:1.8). The lenses were optically stabilized. Older versions of these same camcorders were Canon R40 and Sony CX-240. There were other models too, but these are the examples I know about. Panasonic had some too.

Interesting video. I was curious about how that "8K" video camera performed at HD and 4K levels (which would've been an apples-to-apples comparison). I still expect the other cameras to do better but I was curious. Perhaps a short followup to this video? Thanks!

i'm kind of curious if it looked any better in 4k or 1080p. The frame rate, just didn't seem like it was actually doing 24 or 30fps.. Seemed kind of choppy in general

I was thinking about just buying one of these cheap cameras. Glad I ran across this video. Do you have any recommendations for one that has night vision?

Be interesting to find out what the actual resolution of the sensor is.

sony a73s hands down an awesome camera, we have a bunch of FX3's at work, and i kinda love them for how small they're(basically same camera, same 12mpx sensor, same internals just different body), the bonus with the a73s is that it has a viewfinder. I was kinda surprised of the quality of the nex 5r, that looked a lot better than i thought it would. like i think you where out of focus though so i would love to see how it looks in ideal conditions, but those colors looked great.

Honestly? You would be better off with an old lg G7 or V30, put it in a rig and a gimbal and you are golden to shoot 4k or 2k videos. not to mention those phones are ip68 rated and batteries are easy to replace and are not superglued to the phone.

I bought a Goggorly brand 8K Video Camera on Amazon for $159.00, so far, so good, hopefully it will last for me (age 73) it seems to work well and looks good, although with many things you buy online, it requires a “Test of Time” to hopefully be realized if it was a Good or Bad Buying decision.
