Lets Talk Armada Way: Understanding the SuDs scheme

We’re proposing a new sustainable urban drainage system (SuDs) for Armada Way.

The innovative system powered by new solar canopies at Place de Brest would use rain gardens along Armada Way and underground storage tanks that would fill with rain water after being filtered through a series of natural reed beds. The water would then be recirculated around Armada Way through an ornamental stream, which would run the length of the proposed scheme.

The new system has been recognised by the Environment Agency as a way of:

🌳Recycling rain water for plants and trees
