He does it because he knows his body can't play at that level of intensity for a full season. It's extended his career.

Ticket actually has a point if you watched him with the heat during the reg season he tries to involve everyone

Jimmy just wants to face the number one team as early as possible to get them out of the way 😂.

Butler is so GOD DAMN good during the playoffs, that it's becoming a detriment to his legacy 💀

Jimmy actually has a brilliant strategy of only giving teams about 50-60% of his bag throughout the season and not having the correct tape to start for him. It also gives them a lower seed than they truly are allowing them to face the harder teams earlier when they still don't have the tape on him to make the correct adjustments. It also allows them to play the trams they know they can run thru in the lster rounds.

I understand he’s asking jimmy to be consistent throughout both regular season and playoffs. But jimmy does not play bad or even cheat the game. He literally said he appreciates all time greats for playing good through the regular season and then intensifying it in the playoffs which is literally what he’s done.

That’s why he’s great. He could easily go out and average 30, but he spends most the regular season working on lineups with spo and figuring out how to get the TEAM to mesh. Realistically he’s underrated in the regular season too. Check his stats and he’s basically like draymond on crack.

Jimmy trust his teammate a lot from what I can see

I’d take someone who just coasts in the regular season then go super saiyan in the playoffs instead of someone who averages 30 in the regular season then goes down to 15 a game shooting 30% from the field like harden

I think it's Jimmy's version of load management. He's going to play every game he can, but he can't play at max level for 82 games plus the playoffs so he paces himself

Yes. You are out of line. Jimmy Butler, is a professional that comprehends his work load during the regular season, his teams talent, his teams efficiency, and the teams weaknesses better than a commentator or spectator. It is his sweat he is distributing every basketball game and his anatomy he is attentive to in a analysis of what he must reserve for the playoff run. His era has a different competition expectation and within that expectation he isn’t required to compete with retired legends of the league. If his statistical data increases during the post season and his team is winning at an exceptional level against all competition, then he has done a great analysis of how to depend on his team during the regular season and how to include his selected level of effort. That is the synergy of the team to the selected star athlete ratio at best. 😎

Nigga it’s just JIMMY BUTLER! He is the only superstar on this team and to carry them day in and day out is wild in itself.

Kawhi does the exact same thing but he’s won 2 rings so we respect him. If Jimmy wins a ring he’ll be on that same tier

By doing this He is prolonging his career and extending our championship window by doing so

Seems like he's taking his role as a leader seriously.

Elevates his teammates when he has the chance to and leads them when he has to.

most people think jimmy is just trolling in the regular season but hes actually just taking care of his body and health because he knows he unstoppable in the playoffs

This is way better than playing out of your mind in the regular season just to shrink when it comes to playoffs

Two weeks later, the heat found a way to be up 3-1 in the second round as an 8th seed

Well since they made it to the conf finals as 8th seed and not as 1st seed
