How to: Marble with Acrylic - Step by Step Tutorial

Hey Guys,

Today I'm going to show you two different ways to create an acrylic Marbling Effect... they're easy, honest! Nikki's not had nails for a while due to her having a baby. it's safe to say that she's a wee bit excited.

So, you can either dip into each pot to create a multicolored bead to work with, or you can individually dip and place on the nail before marbling. Both techniques have their pros and cons, If you are a beginner I would suggest the individual dip technique, once you have better brush control, you can do the quicker way of all at once.

In the salon, I tend to use the multicoloured bead technique, it's just faster and in my opinion, gives a better look.

Which one do you think has the best look and looks easier to use.

Make sure you share all of your recreations with us on Facebook and Instagram and check out my new snaps every day at kirstynails

Absolutely loved the second one better. Looked more organic like real marble. Its also a much easier technique to do and you don't have to worry about ever dropping your pearl of colors in a different color when your picking up all the different ones to place on the nail. We've all had that happen. Three second one allows you to place each color EXACTLY where you want it as well. Just in case you have more of any one color somewhere and you want to make sure you are being even with them. I am just much happier when I use the second technique... it always comes out right where the first technique can muddy the colors together and get too much of one color in places. That's all. Great tutorial !!

I can't do nails to save my life but I Love watching the creativity and skill of others. This also gives me ideas of what to ask for when i go get my nails done next. Mine have been naked for over 15 years. I am starting to get the itch again for a set.

First one for sure. Looks more melded together and has a consistent flow. Gorgeous. That’s my next mani.

Definitely method 2, or then again method 1, decisions, decisions, I'd just be happy to do a marbled nail that I didn't end up covering with gel!!!! Love your work Kirsty. Xxx

It’s very hard to tell the difference but I definitely love the second marbling you did. I think it’s more defined, more controlled and the clear is perfect. Fantastic job hun, love this colour combo too ❤️🇦🇺
