Cubase Skills: The Logical Editor 1 - Basics

Показать описание
An introduction to the Logical Editor, which makes many repetitive MIDI editing tasks much quicker and easier, and can also generate music (after a fashion) for you. The first video in a series covering some of the features of the logical editor. Re-uploaded due to an error in the original video - thanks to PinkPonyofPrey for the heads up!

Jeez, i've had that logical editor sitting in my Cubase for years and never used it. This intro is a great tutorial, thanks a lot.

I’ve only watched 90 seconds of this and it’s already more useful to me than Greg Ondo’s video on the same subject. I’m a relative newbie to midi editing and this describes the terminology in a nice simple manner. Thanks.

Very good introduction to this editor!!! Thanks a lot !!!
While watching this video a lot of ideas are coming through my head how to use this "mystical" editor!!!
(little addition: In the lower area of the logical editor (in the middle) you can choose between two modes where it says "function": The first (choosen here) is "transform", the second is "select" if I remember correctly)

Great, Thanks!! I've moved back to Cubase from decades ago - I use this editor in Logic pro X - So this is really handy - Cubase's version appears to be more powerful and more musically useful.

dude, great tutorials. keep on doing what ya doing! I have one question though:
I need two hotkeys which I didn't find (neither googling nor in the shortcuts menu of cubase). One for opening my VST and one for opening the drum editor in fullscreen (and also closing both things with the aforementioned shortcuts as well, of course).
Any ideas? It costs me ton of time everytime I need to click the symbols with the mouse....

How would you add the velocity randomness to midi drums? I want different parts of the kit to hit in a specific range of velocities but I've only figured out how to apply one range to the entire kit

Hello, dear sir. Beautiful explanation, long live the hands. I have a question
How to enter more than one value for each existing control within the selected list
Like if i add CC7 and CC10 and CC11 and I want CC7=70 and CC10=64 and CC11=100 in same time

Saw this doesn't come with Elements so not spending the extra money just to have this function. This is how Cubase tries to get more money out of you.
