weird comments on this. clearly everyone knows the sahara is a major factor. the whole point of the video is to deep-dive on why its uninhabitable and the many factors that make the coast more desirable to live.

also, in social discourse online, ive seen people say stupid things "north africans arent real africans, too white to withstand the sahara” meanwhile most of the populations of Chad and Niger are in the southern parts of the countries lol. like you said, it’s a push factor. also prolly not enough oasis for large populations to inhabit the sahara.
