I have a sister who passed away a few years ago. She is far away from me now and yet at the same time I keep her close listening to the songs she loved. It's my thread of fate that keeps me connected to her.
I know if she was still here I would have made her sit down and watch all the episodes of The Legend of Vox Machina with me and that she would have loved this song. Thank you for making it and curse you for making me cry at work! :D

I don’t know how you did it, but each time the lyrics reference vex, even just saying “her”, I can just feel so much tenderness, love, and devotion. And something about the lines “you want a champion/I want her back” and “I’ll be your boatman, your reaper/I’ll be yours but you can’t keep her” just calls into the depths of Vax’s desperation and determination in a way I don’t even know how to describe. This song is just… magical. Are you sure you’re not a bard?
