Показать описание
AHMAD ISZUDDIN BIN AHMAD IZHAM, 11
Gombak, Kuala Lumpur
Eleven-year-old Iszuddin started the Save (Sea) Animals From Extinction (SAFE) campaign after he watched a YouTube video on how humans are killing turtles by littering and throwing garbage into the ocean. After making numerous videos to raise awareness on this issue, Iszuddin started baking cookies and selling them to raise money for his turtle conservation cause. Within 8 months, he managed to raise more than RM 1,500, baked more than 12,000 cookies, sold 150 recipe books and sold 14 t-shirts. The Malaysian Mickey Mouse Club named him Junior Environmentalist for also spreading the awareness on his ‘Use Recycling Bags Daily’ and ‘Stop Littering’ campaigns.
He is one of the 10 finalists for the Tuanku Bainun Young Changemakers Awards 2017.
