You’re at Bleecker St., Pizza when you can go right around the corner to John’s on Bleecker and get one of the best pizzas in New York. I’m so disturbed by this.

Even I as a native New Yorker don’t even remember the last time I had a slice at Bleecker St Pizza. Best pizza in the city? Food Network is on crack.

American pizza and Italian pizza are two totally different things. I guarantee most Americans would prefer the New York style over the Italian style in a blind test of several pizzas. It’s what Americans like. America changes almost every food that makes its way here to fit American ingredients and tastes.

I’m mexican. My wife is caucasian. She took me to Torchy’s tacos, they are quite american. And I still liked them, I did not compare them to mexican tacos, I just enjoyed them as American food. There’s no need to take your food so seriously, just enjoy the new things, try new things… Now, if I go to a place that swears to be mexican and the food is not authentic, I’d be upset. But that pizza place says NY pizza. Take a chill pill.

Pizza is all about what you grew up eating. that will forever be your favorite.

That definitely doesn’t look like award winning pizza and no, don’t trust anything super mainstream like the food network. Lol

My father was stationed in Sardinia for 3yrs. I was a child but still can remember the taste of the pizza. Totally different. Best pizza I've ever had!!! ❤❤❤😊

Matter of preference. Ive had Neapolitan and roman pizza in Italy, but for me, US east coast pizza is king, and it's not even close.

The thing is, He's having to go pizza. When you sit down on a restaurant and get like a marinara pizza it's formally served much differently.

This is exactly how it is in Italy too. When you get pizza to go it's very similar to ours with a thin slice (although we cook ours more).

I've done it myself. Had pizza in New York and Italy on the same day and I can confirm it's VERY similar
