Great thing about Marmoush is that he brings new dimensions to this team that we don't have right now, a goal scoring winger, can play 9 to rest Haaland, can play with Haaland like Julian did and is great with free kicks. We don't have any of that at the moment.

Would be one of those signings that would get the fanbase excited and for good reasons. Deadly player, can take set pieces, work rate is great, not afraid to get stuck in. Top signing imo.

Agree with your theory - so hard to get the perfect DM in January. When you don’t know what Kdb and Silva are doing. You need a world class CM/DM. If you can’t get the right person, put Stones/Akanji next to Kova and in summer you get Zubamendi. Why buy someone you won’t play next year if Zuba comes in.

There are other priorities - but we have to do deals in parallel. Plus when a transfer target sees other key targets sign, it helps recruit others. Seeing him sign will make CMs and CBs more comfortable that City are indeed going to remain elite.

Almost every team in the PL have midfielders that can run for 100 minutes with high intensity. Thats where City are lacking big time. To not go for one or two midfielders that fit this profile would be a huge mistake imo.

The midfield doesn't keep the ball well enough (forgetting the off the ball problems), the defense doesn't progress the ball well enough (forgetting the injury problems), this is all obvious, but we still manage to have the most shots & possession in the PL. Another goalscorer is needed and can cover over a decent amount of the midfield and defensive issues. Goals change games. Get the 2nd vs Everton, and a 3rd is more likely than an equaliser. Most teams give up. We saw this vs WHU.
