I was half my age when I discovered this song and band. Time passes faster and faster but the music lives on, unchanged. It lets us open a portal to the past, if only for a moment.

Whenever I hear this song, I remember playing this way too loud in my bedroom with the windows open. When I came downstairs, my dad, who is unfortunately no longer with us, looked up from his newspaper and said: 'Her voice sounds a bit like Kate Bush.' Him being a great fan, it was his way of approving to this song.

The ethereal grace of Sharon den Adel. This music video and Within Temptation rescued me from despair in the late 2000s from my depression. I will always be grateful for this symphonic metal band and Sharon's angelic voice.

This song was what got me into WT, even though all other songs are incredible, I just keep coming back to this one, my top favourite. I could listen to it a million times and not get bored of it, Sharon’s voice is just insanely beautiful. Also I went through an entire collection of WT songs yesterday afternoon and could fall asleep to them since they just are so relaxing / epic to me, even though it’s metal
