2023, most amp cab sims sound great already. But its so nice to finally have a boss amp cab sim, the size of a normal pedal with so much options! What a time to be alive

Used this at my last gig and it was brilliant! Stripped the whole rig down to clean/distortion/solo boost: Guitar -> Boss IR 2 -> Wampler Equator in loop (as a solo boost) -> Orange Pedal Baby -> House 2x12” cab. Amazing bit of kit!

How good are the people at Boss? How many millions of guitar players have gone to that happy place rocking out with their stuff? And it always feels like they are trying to give people as much good quality stuff as possible.

Really like the simplicity of this. As a guitarist in a cover band, this provides simple versatility. I play a Katana but starting to use more pedals with it. This could be a great backup or easy to carry main rig.

This looks like another homerun from BOSS. I agree with the dude in the pink shirt; I don't care if it matches any particular amp perfectly. It sounds good overall and I'm confident I could get several good sounds out of it that suit my playing.

Boss just keeps coming out with more & more amazing pedals. Those dual concentric pots and different modes, plus effects loop, PLUS a USB-C really open up a lot of doors and lets you add so much into one compact pedal.

Boss pulls it off again! My hunch is that the IR-2 might not be the best in a forensic A/B comparison with the original amps, but would just sound right in a mix.

That jam you did at 12:00 blows my mind. I was a teen in the 70's. I've heard boom in a big room a few times. I love music. The outdoor ones were loud but the ground didn't shake as much. I want my 1959 back.

Someone's going to make a record using just this and it'll change the industry.

This is way better than Fender's Tone Master Pro.

I appreciate how you guys talk about the “back line”
There’s a lot of us out here that actually still play with amps behind us. And not on a silent stage. I tried the pod Xpress and the volumes can be turned down, but it broke right away.
This looks more indestructible, like all my other boss pedals and thank you guys 🙏

totally empathize with Pete, I'm almost angry that all this amazing stuff is available now that we couldn't even dream about in the 80s when I was a broke teen learning.

A modern version of the Sansamp GT2. I got one when they came out (I was working at a guitar shop at the time) and I still use it direct into the PA for rehearsal and as my backup for my gigging setup in case something goes down. This simplicity is much better than the crazy complex modeling solutions for anyone that has their own sound, and isn't trying to emulate other people's sounds (like session/contract touring players). Very cool.

Joyo did it like like two years ago with the preamp house. Also the industry needs to change the term IR to `mic + cab sim'.

ok, that's a great sounding unit. way more impressed than i was expecting. I'd gig those tones. i have been faithful to valve amps, but would love a small carry rig all in my pedal board to leave amp at home. this sounds perfect. i want a edge of break up and a rock tone, two channels, this is perfect.

Looks like the perfect back up option for when a valve amp goes down at a gig . Ill be purchasing one me thinks 👍

My Boss GX 100 has everything from this Pedal plus everything you need from a Pedalboard for under 450 Pounds . I am very satisfied with that underrated unit 🙂

I wasn't sure at all about some of the sounds but as soon as Pete plugged in the Les Paul on the high gain setting it really started to shine. This is great for the money, even just for practising 🤘

A much needed solution for the price point! Only idea that comes to mind is if Boss rolled out amp-specific versions in the future like a Vox/British pedal with unique amp knobs like top boost/etc. and be able to select from other amps that fall in that Vox-style category

That is some crazy packaging, all of that in a traditional boss pedal enclosure.

Sounds great. In a mix it would be perfect.
