My name is Katie K Holland. I am a women's health nurse practitioner, and I became a women's health nurse practitioner because I love to empower women. So I see adolescents all the way up to women 65 and older. I see women who come in that need birth control, wanna talk about their periods, women that are trying to get pregnant, women that are pregnant. I, I do not deliver babies, but I can do in-office procedures, like putting in alanon, um, inserting, inserting interuterine devices. And I also am, um, well versed with hormone therapy. Being a women's health provider, there's a lot of vulnerability when you meet one. Uh, I have worked very hard to hone in my skills with patients so that they don't feel so vulnerable. I absolutely talk with my patients, get to know them, and, um, ask them a list of questions so that I can feel out if they're just not ready to do the exam.

A lot of times we can talk in office and we can get a plan so that they do feel comfortable when they come back. I was born in Louisville, Kentucky. I moved when I was in eighth grade to El Paso, Texas. That's where I went to high school. I also got my bachelor's in nursing at the University of Texas El Paso, go Minors. I then moved to Denver, Colorado and I got my master's in Women's Health Nurse practitioner at the University of Colorado, Denver in Aurora, Colorado. My parents moved back to Louisville, so I moved back to Louisville as well in 2012. I love music. In comedy. I have three girls and a wonderful husband. We love to eat. We're very involved in our church.
