So glad your eyes aren't closed, Brent. Shinedown is literally the only modern band I will listen to....well, used to listen to. I'm ashamed to admit that it's been awhile. Not because of the music or anything y'all did. It is because the love of my life introduced me to Shinedown, and often it was the only music we could agree on, so we listened to you a lot. Shinedown was his favorite band. He died of a fentanyl overdose October 27th, 2021, leaving me and our 2 daughters (8 and 9 y/o, at the time) here without him. Every time I try to listen to Shinedown, it brings back so many memories. Mostly good memories, but I'm still in that place where the good memories hurt just as bad, or even more so, than the bad memories. I'm sure you know what I mean. I still love you guys, and I have often wondered how your hearts and minds were faring in these End of Days. I had hoped y'all were awake and aware. I will eventually be able to hear your music again with joy in my heart. my heart is still a little too broken to receive your music with the joy that it deserves. So, I will have to listen to your new music a little bit farther down the road. Soon, I hope. Much love to you and yours, guys.
