I love that song. The video is awesome as well. The only thing I don’t like about the clip of it from this is that the guitar is so loud that it’s drowning out Stephen And the guy has a phenomenal voice.

They were my first concert ever as a little kid. They headlined for Queensrÿch. My little mind was blown.

I love when it's about the music for the band/musician & not just about getting laid.

Ratt has definitely always been a one of a kind metal band, and I still remember the first time I heard Out Of The Cellar on vinyl, and on a very good stereo that I had just bought back in the early to mid 80's, but obviously I can't remember exactly what year it was, but my main point is that the very first time I heard that album cranked up on a good stereo, I was so blown away!!! And the next album after that was definitely no slouch either!!! In fact, none of their albums were!!! But I myself have always thought that the first two, maybe three albums were their best ones!!! And they also have at least one (maybe two???) ep type albums that were material they put out before the release of Out Of The Cellar!!! At least I think I'm right about this, because I remember having at one time or another an ep album that had a woman's leg showing with a net type hose on her leg, and a rat crawling up her leg on the cover of the album, and if memory serves me correctly, it had maybe one or two songs on it that were on one of the major label releases, but it also had a few songs on it that were totally different than anything else on any other release on the major label records??? Anyhoo, the main thing is that I think their best albums were the first 2-3!!! (Ernie Wilber) 🤘😊🤘✌️

Great musicianship from this band but the drugs really destroyed them

The only reason Ratt was not bigger then Motley was not because their music wasn't better, it's because they kept their notoriety on the DL. Motley put their bad behavior on full display and the public ate it up. Ratt kept their dirty laundry private and as a result they didn't get the press. There's no such thing as bad press, not in rock and roll anyway It's one of the reasons why kiss got so huge was because all of the mystery and dating starlets and questions about their sexuality and all of those things kept them constantly in the spotlight Ratt kept everything kind of under wraps. Have they gone the other route, they would have sold four times as much and ended up selling 100 million units like your best friends Motley. I mean those guys hung out together all the time and they actually wrote better songs, they were better musicians.

They make good music in the front lead singer had the charisma, but I would’ve changed the name. Just the word rat just does not make it.
