Loving the frequent uploads recently! I've got a pair of these and quite like them. I prefer them with some calibration from Sonarworks Reference 4, but overall pretty happy with them. I still stick by my Beyerdynamic DT250's for most work though :D

Great job as always guys!

P.S.: Mark, Yoko Ono wants to hire you to play trumpet in her new album.

Nice to see that all those years of study in how to play the Flugel horn has payed off so spectacularly!

I’ve had a soft spot for headphones since I was a teen an bought my first “audiophile” headphones (Denon). They provide detail one just can’t achieve at the same price point with monitors. I have a number of different sets. My go to set right now are the Audeze LCD-XC. They are simply amazing when powered correctly. They also seem to track sonically with my monitors. That’s a massive bonus! Great content once again guys!

Mark's acting skills as well as his elephant imitations are improving with any scene.
My closed headphones are really inexpensive, but do the job and if I need headphones for mixing, I'll better stay with my trusted old AKG 501, just because I know them so well.

But even if you never wanna buy any headphones, the video was really great and the end cracked me up.
Thanks!

Mark on fire and with the horn (pun intended) what else is there to say. Oh nearly forgot the review, well put and as usual very enjoyable. However no Flop Cat?

I'm happy with DT990s for late night working, SCM10s for sensible hours working, Sennheiser HD480s for DJ-ing, and cheap AKG K72s for tracking. Compared to the godawful boxiness of the "industry (bog)standard" Beyer DT100s many of us grew up with, the K72s do a reasonable job of isolating my noggin without me feeling like my head is stuck in a drain..
I always recommend that vocalists and miked instrument players purchase their own set of comfortable, reasonably high quality, headphones if they're going to be doing a lot of recording. The engineer can always tweak the monitor mix to match the artist's comfort zone, without affecting the quality of the take from the mic and outboard. Much better in terms of workflow than them overcompensating wildly for headband discomfort, crispy earpads, and grungy reproduction.

For high quality speaker simulation in headphones, I'm a big fan of SPL's Phonitor crossfeed control. A couple of friends who globetrot via hotels use small Phonitor boxes with expensive reference headphones to avoid lugging speakers around the world, taking up valuable weight and space allowances that could be better filled by savoury snacks.

I’ll stick with my hd600 with sonar works correction.
