Fun fact: Detective Pikachu trailer did completely and utterly overshadowed the Toy Story 4 teaser trailer. The Pokémon look so good, god I hope the writing for this movie is good too!

It was so weird for me.
I forgot about the movie, so when I received the notification for the video, I thought it was some 2 minute live action trailer for the game coming to the west, so I had the worst case of Mandela Syndrome.
When it started with its Ready Player One vibe, I, as well, became speechless.

You know what freaks me out the most? That it's made my Legendary... which means that they could, technically, bring Pokemon in the Legendary kaiju universe.

The starting is like a cyberpunk theme like bladerunner or ready player one. Which should work with pokemon. This is based off of the Detective Pikachu game. Looks like the same plot and tone too.
