Brittnee, so glad I found your channel! I normally cut my own hair, but decided to treat myself to an upscale salon. I ended up getting the worst cut of my life. I have very thick, wavy hair. I rarely use heat, but the new cut requires a blowout & flat iron. Not what I wanted! I'm a surfer, & air dry my hair. I watched your video & blended the choppy layers. Big improvement! You're awesome, especially using your own beautiful hair.

Some shears manufacturers offer shears where the teeth actually curve twords the back of the shear softening the effect giving more of a natural effect.
There are also blenders that have teeth on both blades.
It doesn't change the reduction of hair. it leaves no line of de-marcation.

This was a good video to watch for my Mom - she's always wanting her hair to be thinner in places. Actually, I think I may buy some for my own hair - These seem great for getting minimizing damaged ends without compromising the length of your hair.
Out of all the hair tutorials I have watched, this was by far the best one because of the how explainable you made it all sound. It wasn't confusing at all! There wasn't a place where I had to pause and go back because I wasn't grasping for understanding; you seem to be familiar with the fact we're not all hairdressers and I appreciated that.
