WIRED Health Startup Showcase Winner Erin Smith co-founded FacePrint as a way to detect Parkinson's disease ten to twenty years earlier. The now 19-years-old entrepreneur will launch FacePrint to the public in mid-2019, as an automated screening and monitoring tool for Parkinson’s disease using early-stage facial expression indicators. "I believe that together, we can turn social media into a powerful tool to advance scientific research and accelerate a pathway to a cure," Smith addresses the audience. "Together, we can turn selfies and hashtags into lives saved."
