"Fascination" is track 3 from David Bowie's 1975 album 'Young Americans.' Written by Bowie and Luther Vandross.

The audio for this video was taken from a hi-res UK 1st pressing vinyl rip (not made by me).

Heard this on the radio while playing GTA 4. Thank God they added this masterpiece. I’d have never heard it otherwise

Luther Vandross originally wrote this and it was called 'Funky Music'. Bowie was recording Young Americans with Luther. Bowie asked if he could record it, but he was going to change the lyrics. Luther said yes, and the 'royalties' rolled in.. Luther also said. He created the back up parts, and most of the time, Bowie just sat and drawed, and told Luther to keep going, cause everything he was coming up was brilliant. Bowie had that ability to find talented musicians and let them do their thing.

This is quite possibly the most underrated song David Bowie ever made.

I cannot possibly believe how overlooked this song is. One of the best songs on Young Americans.

This was the first David Bowie LP I bought was from a used record store in the early 80's. When I first heard "Fascination", written by Bowie and Luther Vandross, it changed my musical life. To this day, I still feel it's one of the most sensuous songs musically and lyrically. You will be sincerely missed, Mr Bowie.

I haven't heard this song in a long time. This was one of my favorites off the album when it came out. It's one of those songs that gets better over the years.

RIP Bowie! This is another great song that many don't know about. I have Young Americans on vinyl before GTA but luckily the younger ones got to know about it through it!

Bowie can be described in a myriad of ways; genius, innovator "The thin white Duke" but all can agree on one description: he was a "Pro". That dedication to the performance and the music and emotion associated w/ it, changed me and my outlook and the world for that matter. Well done Mr. Jones,

Pure Genius. We all have dreams & imaginations but can't decipher or "connect" the dots so to speak, but David Bowie pushed the boundries & could  "Make things Happen" in Music where others wouldn't know how to begin or create with such Sublime Brilliance, so much so that we can all enjoy his great talent even though we lost a Great Musician & Friend.R.I.P
