The way Erika tells her stories is very early 90s Lifetime TV movie. So affected, down to every sigh and hand gesture. Humans can just read when something feels off, it's all too curated and self aware.

I'm over Erika playing the victim... She is saying it now as a reason why she's innocent, throwing things out there this season about how Tom treated her and how she lived through so much with him, like she had no idea what he was working with. It does seem pathetic whether it's true or not it's hard to believe her on this one.

The funny thing is, Denise's storyline last year did have some contradictory elements to it, like Erika, and Denise didn't help herself but Denise didn't do ANYTHING as bad as this. But they show Erika so much more empathy and compassion. Wow.

I did struggle to follow the car accident story. She might even be telling the truth- but I think the stories and the narrative of powerless wife are slightly overkill
