- "I was the beneficiary of a life insurance payout. My family is now telling me I have to share"
- "How do I pay off an engagement ring that I bought with a credit card?"
- "My wife consistently overdrafts her bank account. How do I deal with this?"
- "Should I prioritize building my emergency fund over retirement savings and paying off my home?"

Loving the show and the humour! My 8 year old always says "the Ramsay show!!"in your accent Dave!! It's on loud speaker so the whole family can hear it and learn!

14:25 it's not just a wealth thing. Kids in poverty often think that's exactly how that works. I retired from a Title I elementary school where poverty was the norm. A child would lose a winter coat, chromebook, you name it, and their first response was, "That's no big deal. Someone will just give me a new one." Their reality was that "other people" gave them clothes, school supplies, etc. They didn't think that because they came from money, but rather because they had grown up with handouts. It made me sick to my stomach that that was their (and their parents) mindset.

Hit 250k today. Appreciate you for all the knowledge and nuggets you had thrown my way over the last months. Started with 24k in January 2025..

John does great with Dave! Good combo, very entertaining especially the frisbee comment!

52:14 Getting married later this year, talked to Zander insurance earlier today and got $750, 000 of life insurance coverage. I'm not debt free yet, but the freeing feeling of having my family taken care of is what I imagine being debt-free will be like

For John in Springfield. I'd also worry about gambling. Whether she is meeting someone or not, there is a lot there to unpack relationship wise and financially. It's time to get real no matter how uncomfortable.

1:24:45 my heart goes out to Rob in Tampa. That's so rough, especially as young as they are.

First caller must not have any mirrors in her house. She blaming everyone else but herself for not raising a good person.

I paid for myself to go college. My son paid for himself to go to college. My daughter paid for herself to go to college. I never get this.

I know Dave is super into real estate, but how often does he think people buy and sell houses? As an adult, I've owned two homes: one for three years and the other (I'm still here) for over thirty years. I don't plan on going anywhere either. I know a lot of people who haven't bought and sold as often as he seems to think they do.

I don't know where Dave got his number from of 11th, but Williamson county Tennessee isn't even in the top 20 for wealthiest counties in the U.S.

OMG. Your step parent is not a step parent unless they’re married to your biological parent. This call, exhausted me. Once divorced, they are no longer your step parent as far as legal terms. Enjoy the money with your family pay off your house with it save it for your children’s college.

45:25 I agree this is a marriage problem. She may or may not be cheating on him. Even if it’s just for shopping, lunching with friends, manis and pedis, etc. it’s bad. Doesn’t have to be drugs, drinking or an affair. The fact that she’s lying, hiding, AND overspending is what’s bad.

I accidentally answered my sister in law’s phone once thinking it was my wife’s. If I’m closer to her phone when it rings, I regularly answer it. She regularly uses mine as well.
