The New York State Police say a suspect is dead after a trooper-involved shooting in downtown Buffalo on Saturday morning.
According to the police, just before 11 a.m., troopers were trying to stop an erratic driver on the I-90. That driver allegedly continued to drive erratically and exited onto the I-190 heading northbound. State Police say the suspect then exited into the City of Buffalo, and the chase was called off.
But police said while troopers were patrolling, they located the suspect, who had pulled over and was talking to bystanders on East Eagle Street near Washington Street.
Troopers then approached the vehicle, gave verbal commands, and at one point during the interaction with the suspect, a trooper discharged their firearm at the suspect, police said.
Police said the suspect died at the scene, and the trooper sustained minor injures.
The area of Washington and Eagle Street will be closed for multiple hours, and the investigation continues.
The Attorney General’s Office is now investigating also.

The officer's behavior is pathetic. Very callous.
I have no empathy for him cutting his pinky
finger or falling on his azz.

Unnecessary? Tell that to the families who lost their loved ones to drivers like this and cops who died from hesitating when someone reaches.

Why did your trooper feel the need to automatically use excessive force haven't you guys ever heard of a taser gun why couldn't that be used why kill him??

When they found him pulled over he wasn't causing harm or showing any problems with any pedestrians or bystanders and he backed up to get away there was still no reason for the officer discharged his firearm and shoot

That was a state sanctioned assasination.

He was an amazing brother and a wonderful father and a good friend to many. He was going through alot of battles within himself. So before anyone on here wants to bash my brother come see me for facts. He was loved by many. So if any more people want to bash this poor man for what happened find out facts. And what happened was completely uncalled for by a trigger happy cop. I loved my brother and he will be sadly missed. Another brother gone to but not forgotten...I love you little

It's amazing that these keyboard worries will write the crap they right with the negative comments. I know this man and what he was going through and half these comments on here are a bunch of drippy vjs behind phone and computer screens. He may not be here anymore but I bet his brother and his close friend would be more then happy to address any negative person who would feel free to speak person to person. If you don't have anything intelligent to say then just keep it to your selves.

He wasn't parked either the officer spotted his vehicle and targeted him automatically with a gun and shot him automatically he had no weapons at all the car was an automatic on the floor and the use of excessive force was totally uncalled for on the officers part period
