MARK-MAKING with no brushes allowed! - Day 3 (Creative Elements Challenge)

Показать описание
The creative task for Day 3 is to discover a new type of mark or pattern!
🎨 5-DAY Creative Elements Challenge 🎨

To keep things interesting, try using alternative tools such as twigs, feathers, sponges, palette knives, or items from around the home.

For paint, I am using Daler Rowney FW Ink in Antelope Brown, instant coffee, and teabags. If you prefer, you can use watercolour,  acrylic, or any other supply.

This is a fun exercise and always a good one for loosening up and getting outside of your comfort zone.

When you have finished the exercise, take a moment to notice if there is a type of mark or pattern you want to incorporate more often into your work. If you want to keep going, how about adding some marks to your backgrounds from Day 2?

I love seeing your work under the hashtag #creativeelementschallenge. It's all so inspiring!

I love using coffee I keep some in a spray bottle and I picked up a tip recently that if you add a few drops of alcohol it stops it going mouldy 😁 loving these videos ❤xxx

I am in LOVE with acrylic inks; the jewel tones, the sheen and the colors.

That was a lot of fun! Love your sweet kitty coming into the picture! I have been collecting a few things on my nature walks to try out different kinds of marks. That blouse is such a beautiful shade of green, by the way. Thank you for sharing your great ideas. 💚

I love this challenge. I feel like I can really do this because it doesn't have to look like anything in particular and this allows a certain freedom to flow. I will try this. Thank you for the idea.
