A little fishing line net on the end of the stick to tangle it up would make short work of the prop & motor.

Bringing back jousting in 2024 - I did not see this coming.

someone once said the third world war will be fought with nuclear weapons and the 4th ww will be fought with sticks... We are here folks!

Net like material. Kinda like a fishing net in a boat propeller

*AS A SAILOR* I can tell you - you want a net or a string on the stick that tangles in the prop - the prop will wind in the net / string and fowl, it is self-tightening so it jams up

Its an endless problem for boats and yachts

Cool. We're only a couple of mutations away from aerial combat between UAVs with mini miniguns.

Fishing line would work well, it does with boat props.

Given the amount of damage a net or fishing wire does to boat propellers, a net or a spooled wire would probably work better, as you mentioned in the video. Even better if you put a small parachute on the net/wire, so it can brought down intact on your territory

Tie a parachute to a loop of string. Stow the parachute in a tube on the FPV. Project the loop forward on a wire fork. FPV flies up to anything with a propeller, which is entangled in the loop and yoinks the parachute free from the FPV. Either make the parachute big enough to stall the target (or asymmetrical) and that target is coming down.

They should use nylon or something with high friction. If it doesnt jam it it will slow it beyond min to stay in the air.

The United States must increase its stick technology research.

So we now have the real Monty Pythons flying

Just a question. Does the Russian drone pilot knows that his drone is being hit by another drone with a stick?

A wooden stick is considerably cheaper than a million dollar AA rocket while being similar effective. Great development.

You know, a Looney Tunes version would have the UA drone draw ever closer then an obsurdly large hatch would open up & a giant mallet on a ridiculously long extender would whack it from the air . . . Or a tangle of aramid netting. But that wouldn't be as much fun.

Jousting with drones, worlds most feared army beat with a STICK.

I used to own a a sizable drone with pusher prop, and I don't think the stick is going to be very effective against this type of propeller. These propellers are very resilient and because of the high RPM the stick will get pushed out of the cylindrical volume that the propeller is spinning in.
The stick essentially 'bounces' off the edge of the rotating propeller. They might chip the propeller, which at best could result in severe vibrations rendering the reconnaissance abilities of the drone useless.
Attaching razor blades along the length of the stick or a knife at the end of it could yield better results, but only if you manage to get the sharp end somewhat perpendicular to the prop blades.
Fishing net or a length of thin rope with high tensile strength might prove more efficient as it could entangle the prop. A wooden stick is clearly not sufficient.
