Thank you for this clear, easy to follow tutorial. I have a layer cake that I wanted to use without having to buy lots of background and border fabrics so this quilt is perfect.

Hey!
It is nice how you don’t over explain things. You make it easy to understand without the frustration of redundancy

I made this yesterday. My long rectangles are not 9 inch, only 8, 5 inches.
Whats wrong?

I love your videos! As a seasoned “newbie” I appreciate all of the advice and explanations I can get. The way you teach makes it easy to understand and vey clear. Your helpful hints are amazing too. Please keep making more videos so that some day I will be an intermediate quilter, haha.

Ok, math time. I have a fat eighth bundle that would be perfect for this. If I decrease the sizes, would I have to go down to 4 inches or could I go down to 4.5? I am digging out graph paper……

Thank you for this pattern. Beginner I was able to make Christmas quilts for my grandkids from vintage fabrics. I put new Christmas flannel on the backs. Very grateful thank you.

How wide is your seam margin for sewing the edges together? My pieces keep coming up 1/8" short of 9 inches...

Thanks for a great tutorial. Now, my only problem is which layer cake to use from my collection.😊

I'd go ahead and use All of the blocks, even with a juvenile print. I'd even put a border on it. Kids of all ages love fun prints, they grow fast, and some like their feet to be covered. Besides, what child doesn't like making indoor tents with their covers?
Even this gramma likes fun prints. I'm seriously considering a barnyard babies print for my next personal check order.💁‍♀️Thanks for sharing this fun, easy pattern!

I have just finished making this using Moda, Ocean View. I am very pleased with it. I did cut a few squares that had distinct picture's, slightly differently to get save the pictures . I also didn't want to rotate to stitch the blocks together. I just waited to press the seams joining the blocks till I had chain piece them into rows. I was very pleased this worked as i am a fairly inexperienced quilter. Thank you very much for your clear instructions.
