Показать описание
This is an October 24, 2015 recording I made with Timuel Black Jr., 1918 – 2021 at Chicago Theological Seminary during the 50th anniversary celebration of the March on Selma, Alabama during the Civil Rights era.
Black passed away on October 13, 2021 at the age of 102.
Black was an American educator, civil rights activist, historian and author. A native of Chicago, Illinois, Black studied the city's African American history.
He was active in the Civil Rights movement of the 1960s, most notably participating in Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s Chicago Freedom Movement during 1965 and 1966.
