Just to clear up any confusion, the Mini 4 Pro in the <249g configuration will only fly 34 minutes. To get the 45 minute flight, you must use the Plus battery, but it takes you over the 250g limit and must be registered. The drone also detects if the larger battery is installed and will then transmit the remote id. If the standard battery is in the drone, it will not transmit the remote id.

Woah, didnt realize this was literally posted today. Just stumbled across it in a google search for a drone to get for my Australia/new zealand trip in 7 months. The 20mp 1" sensor on the air 2s is my main holdup vs one of these two.. I feel like id be able to print larger and clearer photos from the air 2s.. 🤔

I live in the Chicago area and it’s the Windy City for a reason. My Mini 2, my first drone, has problems with the high winds we get often. That’s why I chose the Air 3. The winds are not a problem for the Air like they were for my Mini. A bonus has been the second camera and the much larger batteries.

The Air 3 collapsed size is closer to the Mavic 3 Pro than to the Mini 4 Pro. For me it is hard to justify carrying around a much larger setup to have the telephoto lens and slightly higher speed. Hopefully in the future something with 2 lenses (and at least 1/1.3 sensors) could be sized closer to the Mini than the Air

@BandH You can't go wrong with either drone. Matt and Matt did a great job with comparing the two, and there's only a few small differences between the two drones. But for quality footage, stability and convenience of usage, they both run neck and neck to me

I just purchased the mini pro 4 RC and first impression was very good, comparing the DJI to my first drone a Roku pro11 there is no comparison the DJI is leaps and bounds ahead of my Roku Pro 11!!!

Mini Pro 4 for the win in my opinion for it's size and 360 obstacle avoidance. The fact that I can stuff this in my cycling jersey pocket is huge.

Very similarly priced, though the Air 3 is a bit more expensive. I ought for Mini 4 Pro with DJI RC because of its portability, and I have no regrets! Images and video footage looks extremely good! Batt flight time is insane, too! The only downside for me is wind resistance bacause of its size and weight.

I have both of them. The 4 mini is the one I take with me when I am hiking or riding my bike. I could care less about the vertical shooting so it is of no concern. It does not do nearly as well in the wind and it is a bit flimsy, but I understand it has to be so to keep the 250 g weight limit.

I very much enjoy the 70 mm lens. It is much better than the digital zoom. I did not know how much I would use it until I had it available.
The quality is much better regarding the build, but of course it is heavier as well. I think they both have a used case depending what you wish to do with it

Air from mini 3 pro was the best decision i made, not wasting money on a mini drone if the air series is this quiet. I never used vertical mode on the mini 3 pro, and that 70mm 3x zoom camera on the air 3 is a game charger

Many thanks for video! Anyway I'm thinking between mini3 pro and mini 4 pro. What you will advise me as my first drone? In my side I can't see such big differences in shooting or filming, but mini 4 pro has additional safety features, which I think will be good for beginner like me. Thanks for advance for advising!

I had the mini 4 pro but I live in a windy area and eventually sold it and got the air 3. The air 3 is a lot louder though.
