In the early days everyone was hyped about Pichu and Inkling. I kinda feel old even tho it’s only been 4 years

It's actually kinda sad... Inkling is one of the most unique fighters in Smash and the first newcomer of Ultimate. I wish they were better and got used some more.

I'm still an Inkling main even four years after the game came out. One weakness is a lack of kill power as well. But they don't stop me from getting sweet kills

I just realized that my secondary is the first addition to ssbu and my main is the first dlc in ssbu. Both extremely underrated characters

I picked up Inkling a bit ago and had a lot of fun with them, but for some reason they hurt my hands so I ended up dropping them.

Inkling is still very good, it's just that there are too many characters and character representation is lacking.
That and the fact Steve is way too juicy and everyone wants a piece of that.

I still main Inkling because Splatoon is my favorite game series and I love the character's moveset, damn I really miss Inkling's peak in the game.

Inkling should’ve gotten some kill power buffs after the roller nerfs. Rn they just feel like they fall into that awkward category of “everything you do, someone else does it and more”

Yeah no kidding I remember those days were even K. Rool was considered one of the best characters to play as. Like I would say Inkling, Ike, Pichu, and K. Rool where considered the top 4 early Smash days but the numerous of nerfs and new characters that were added later killed their stats completely. ROB (or Steve) replaced Inkling, Pikachu replaced Pichu, Roy replaced Ike, and Bowser replaced K. Rool

Something I noticed is that (majority of) smash players are not loyal to their character. They want the win by any means necessary which is why everyone wants the 10 best characters

If the character could kill more reliably, had better oos, and better hitboxes they would be top tier easily. They're amazing from low to mid percent but high percent they're terrible and have to land a hard read to kill, not to mention you can both camp them and mash on their shield because they don't deal with pressure well in a game full of mashy play styles

Ive main Inkling and G&W since the beginning and I still do. I slightly use Inkling more though

Even since the beginning of the game I have never stopped using inkling, currently my main and the character I enjoy playing the most
